Infrastructure

1. TRANSPORTATION NETWORK:

Ninh Thuan is endowed with a quite convenient transportation network: the National Highway No. 1A runs alongside the province, the National Road No. 27A leading to Dalat and southern part of Central Highlands, 27B Ninh Son – Cam Ranh national highway the trans-Vietnam railway, and all communes have a connection for cars to their center. Moreover, Ninh Thuan is close to the Cam Ranh airport as well as to the Ba Ngoi freight port one of 10 large-scale seaports in Vietnam. From every city and province in the country, there is an access to Ninh Thuan by sea route, railway, road and by air.

Project of Ca Na steel complex combined with construction of Doc Ham Sea Port (Ca Na) was issued Investment Certificate by People Committee of Ninh Thuan with annual capacity for handing cargo about 15 million tons and receiving of 30,000 DWTs. It also facilitates to transport local and international goods .

2. IRRIGATION SYSTEM:

A system of large-scale irrigation works has been completed and put into operation. Fourteen large-scale projects with the water reserve of 127 million cubic meters have been constructed, ensuring irrigation for more than 30% of agricultural land. By 2015, the provincial authorities are going to make concentrated effors for a program of new large projects, such as lake of Tan My, Than river, Bieu river, with total water reservoir of around 350 million cubic meters, hence ensuring the water quantity for agricultural and industrial production, as well as for daily use by people.

3. WATER SUPPLY:

In the province there are presently 4 factories supplying water for daily uses and production demands with total capacity of 90,000 m3/day, includings the mill Thap Cham, the mill Tan Son - Ninh Son, the mill Phuoc Dan - Ninh Phuoc, Ca Na- Phuoc Nam, ensuring the water supply for the city of Phan Rang-Thap Cham, other townships and industrial claster, zones. Presently, new mill in Du Long is being constructed (capacity of 15,000 m3/day), supplying water for the industrial production and for daily uses by people in the region.

4. ELECTRICITY SUPPLY:

The national power network has been connected to all communes throughout the province, satisfying the requirement on energy for production and supplying electricity to more than 95% of households. Presently, new transmission systems are being constructed to supply electricity to industrial parks, tourist areas and for the province's major economic zones.

5. POSTS AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS:

The post and telecommunication network with various kinds of services is also being modernized so as to meet the demand for information exchange and communication in the country and over the world, ensure to provide services of effectiveness and high ...as high speed database communication network, wide band network infrastructure (MAN) in the city following the model “One system, multiple services”.

6. BANKING AND CREDIT SERVICES:

These services are more and more improved in quality, flexiable, safer and more convenient. The system of banks in the province includes a branch of the State bank and other branches of commercial banks (BIDV, Agribank, Vietinbank, Sacombank, etc.). All of them are able to mobilize capital and meet the demand for taking loan in Vietnam dongs and foreign currencies.
